Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Job Description

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing prescription items, packaging medications for dispensing and delivery, labeling products accurately, and participating in periodic inventory checks. You will prepare various medications, including emulsions, liquids, powders, and ointments, which may involve non-sterile compounding. The role requires effective communication with both internal and external customers and may involve processing returned medications for credit or destruction. Additionally, you will assist in training new employees and may work in controlled drug areas, handle automated dispensing machines, manage inventory, input data for label production, and service facility-based medication dispensing machines. Other tasks may be assigned as necessary.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Albany, New York.

Work Environment

The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, 10 AM - 6 PM, with potential late-night shifts from 2 PM - 10 PM. Occasional weekend work may also be required.
