Actalent Pharmacy Technician in Ann Arbor, Michigan

Description:

Position Summary:

The pharmacy technician/ will assist the pharmacists with the preparation of prescriptions for patients and with general pharmacy operations. In addition to pharmacy responsibilities, this position is responsible for assisting in the patient insurance eligibility verification process, patient prior authorizations, claims processing and billing support as well as telephone and filing responsibilities.

This will be a mix of both assisting the Pharmacists in preparing prescriptions and handling patient facing duties such as verifying insurance, and billing support.

Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must haves:

Certified Pharmacy Technician in the state of Michigan

At least 6 months of filling scripts, verifying insurance and medical billing preferred

High School Diploma or GED

Nice to Have:

2 year college

Specialty pharmacy experience

1+ years experience as a pharmacy technician or in a pharmacy in a customer support role. On top of dispensing the drugs, experience with prior authorizations and insurance billing is helpful.

Best Vs Average: Someone who is extremely organized, detail oriented and who can take and give feedback!

First Month - Training with Rebecca, strictly learning how to do the job. After a month they will be given metrics to hit
