Actalent Field Service Manager in Birmingham, Alabama
Job Title: Field Service ManagerJob Description
We are seeking a proactive Field Service Manager to conduct and manage field operations such as sampling, testing, special inspections, and observations utilizing ASTM, DOT, ACI, AWS, and IBC methods and standards. The role involves managing the training, scheduling, and performance of field personnel, as well as assisting senior staff in project execution and management through a deep understanding of engineering practice and construction methodologies. The successful candidate will be proficient in reading and understanding construction plans and specifications and conducting laboratory analysis of construction materials according to specified methods and standards. The position entails physical activities including walking through uneven and difficult terrain, standing for long periods, and lifting up to 75 lbs. The role requires up to 50% overnight travel.
Hard Skills
ASTM, DOT, ACI, AWS, and IBC methods and standards proficiency
Reading and understanding construction plans and specifications
Conducting laboratory analysis of construction materials
Ability to manage 10-15 different CMT's at a time
Writing field reports

Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Birmingham, Alabama.
Work Environment
The work environment involves outdoor job sites, with at least an hour per day of driving.
