Actalent Environmental Engineer in Burns Harbor, Indiana
Description:
Evaluate, identify, and implement improvements to facility multi-media (SPCC and Stormwater) environmental programs to ensure compliance with applicable environmental laws and regulations.
Perform root cause analyses with operating department personnel and environmental staff to identify effective corrective actions for environmental issues.
Project management of environmental improvement initiatives
Dividing time between office and work in a heavy industrial setting
Perform safety audits, hazard assessments, and safety interactions as required.
Support plant operations periodically for weekend duty and emergency situations.

Possess excellent written and verbal skills
Strong communication skills
Proficient in MS Office products
Ability to collaborate in both small and large groups
