Job Description
Join our team as a Lab Technician and engage in the critical preparation of pure culture yeast for fermentation processes. This role involves preparing media, plating samples, and conducting microbiological analysis, including food pathogen testing for Salmonella and Listeria. You will perform chemical, physical, and microbiological analysis of raw materials, in-process, and finished yeast products. Utilize a Risograph for activity tests on various dough types and maintain laboratory equipment by cleaning, calibrating, and recording maintenance. Additionally, manage the stocking of processing areas with laboratory-prepared solutions, perform consistent tests following procedures, prepare media for microbiological tests, and complete essential monthly and bi-annual tasks.

This position operates in a first shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3 pm. The candidate must be open to shift changes and weekend hours as needed. The lab setup supports approximately three colleagues per shift, promoting an environment of independence. Adherence to strict GMP policies is required, including no piercings, food, water, strong perfumes, or lotions in the lab, and maintaining appropriate hair containment.
