Job Title: Engineering Design 3 - PWB Designer
We are looking for an experienced PWB designer to design and layout printed wiring boards (PWBs) for military/aerospace applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in PWB design, especially working with complex, high-density multilayer boards, and be proficient in using the Cadence Allegro design tool suite.
Responsibilities:
Design and layout printed wiring boards for military/aerospace avionics and test applications.
Use Cadence Allegro for PWB design and layout.
Work with high-density multilayer boards (6-16 layers) and both analog and digital circuits.
Route high-speed digital circuits, including DDR3/DDR4 memory and controlled-impedance circuits.
Design rigid-flex assemblies and prepare artwork ODB Gerbers for fabrication.
Create and manage footprints, symbols, and libraries.
Follow IPC-2221 and IPC-7351 design standards.
Essential Skills:
Minimum 5 years of recent PWB design experience using Cadence Allegro.
Experience with high-density multilayer boards (6-16 layers) and analog/digital circuit layout.
Experience with DDR3/DDR4 memory layout and controlled-impedance circuits.
Experience designing rigid-flex assemblies and preparing ODB Gerbers.
Proficient in footprint/symbol creation and library management.
Understanding of IPC-2221 and IPC-7351 specifications.
Additional Skills:
Experience with CAM350, Valor DFM, OrCad, and Mentor PADS/Xpedition.
Understanding of PWB manufacturing processes.
Requirements:
Ability to obtain security clearance.
AA/AS degree or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience.
