Actalent Semiconductor Field Service Engineer in Chandler, Arizona

Join our team as a Field Service Engineer, where you will be a crucial member of the Site Project Management Team. Your primary responsibility will be the installation of specialized equipment at various customer facilities. This role entails the full spectrum of field commissioning of AMHS equipment, from initial power application to final acceptance testing with the client. You will independently install software, verify software statuses, and utilize corporate processes to access necessary documentation. Additionally, you will provide on-the-job training to both customer and internal technicians, draft and revise technical procedures, and troubleshoot both hardware and software issues. Expect to act as a vital link between customers and engineering teams during installation and service operations, while also managing detailed documentation and reports.
Hard Skills
Experience in electromechanics
Understanding of motorized products, belts, and proximity sensors
Knowledge of electrical diagnostic tools
Familiarity with shop/hand tools
Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints at the component level
Diagnosing and fixing electromechanical systems
Soft Skills
Engaging with customers
Reading and understanding technical procedures
Drafting and revising technical documentation
Effective troubleshooting

Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Chandler, Arizona.
Work Environment
This role requires readiness for both domestic (AZ & OR) and international travel on short notice, with travel comprising about 90% of the job. The position also involves working in a cleanroom environment.
