Actalent Design Engineer in Commerce, California

Job Title: Design EngineerJob Description

The Design Engineer will be responsible for working with customers to translate blueprints and drawings into shop drawings for sheet metal products. This role involves creating and modifying shop drawings using AutoCAD, sending final sets of shop drawings to customers for approval, and preparing & modifying material take-offs pre-RTP to release through our MRP system. The successful candidate will also consult with department leads on current and ongoing projects, facilitate meetings between clients and internal team members, and provide technical design support for metal ceilings to architectural and sales representatives.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Commerce, California and some days remote.

Work Environment

Hybrid work model with 1 day onsite and 4 days remote. There is a potential for a full return to the office in the near future. The position offers flexible start times from 8 am and involves collaboration with the Fabrication Engineering team.
