Job Description
Functions as a team leader for the development and execution of key technical strategies and activities that support the overall business strategy in the Protein & Retail Segments. The role involves applying scientific and engineering principles in various domains including research, development, production technology, quality control, packaging, processing, and waste reduction. Collaborates closely with Supply Chain to enhance product formulation activities and commercial fulfillment efficiencies. Additionally, the Director will lead the production of safe, regulatory-compliant food products, align R&D and regulatory strategies, and work cross-functionally with various departments to manage and prioritize projects and accounts. The role also involves identifying and supporting the implementation of innovative technologies, defining and implementing talent management programs, establishing goals, and handling performance appraisals for the R&D teams. Furthermore, the position requires maintaining the security of confidential information, representing the company in professional business relationships, and implementing contingency plans for key R&D roles.

This is a permanent position.
Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Countryside, Illinois and some days remote.
Work Environment
The role is based at the headquarters in IL, requiring on-site work with the flexibility of remote work days after the initial period. Regular travel to oversee the Arkansas plant approximately once a quarter is required. The Director will have at least 10 direct reports and may also need to visit client sites.
