Actalent Software Test Engineer - Powertrain Controls in Dearborn, Michigan

Description:

This position involves the development and execution of software validation suites for both supplier-delivered low-level drivers and developed high-level drivers in Powertrain Control Modules.

Deliverables: • Gather unit level requirements for base function of each low-level and high-level driver • Develop and update test cases for base function of each low-level and high-level driver • Execute and verify test cases in the Ford software lab in either an open-loop or HIL environment

Experience Required:

• 2+ years of Powertrain software validation experience

• Strong ANSI C software design/development/validation skills

• 10+ years experience in testing and debugging automotive embedded systems software

• Working knowledge of Lauterbach debugger and Clearcase

• Understanding of basic engine controls principles

• Understanding of basic combustion engine operating principles

• Excellent problem solving techniques

• Experience working with diverse teams and across organizational boundaries to accomplish complex tasks

Experience Preferred:

• Embedded controls software experience

• Powertrain Control Systems experience

• Powertrain Control Module Hardware experience

• Calibration experience

• Experience using dSpace HIL

• Working knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
