Actalent Accessioner in Dublin, Ohio

Position : Specimen Processor/Accessioner

Shifts Available:

  • Monday – Friday, 9pm – 5am (plus rotating Saturdays or Sundays)

  • Monday – Friday, 10:30pm – 7am (plus rotating Saturdays or Sundays)

  • Monday – Friday, 11:30pm – 8am (plus rotating Saturdays or Sundays)

  • All shifts may require some daily OT at the end of their shifts as well, but most people typically work close to 40-45 hours per week, except when they work a Saturday or Sunday. Must be open to staying as late as 2 hours past the end time (it’s not common, but it does happen)

  • Rotating weekends are typically just 1-2 times per month.

Description:

  • Perform data entry for specimens by scanning them into the computer systems and

  • verifying that information is correct.

  • Sort and organize samples

  • Insert samples into proper laboratory machinery/equipment as needed

  • Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problem

  • Send test requests to proper location and release test results

  • Assist clients with any specimen related requests or inquires

  • Process specimens to be sent out to additional facilities

  • Provide support to various areas of the laboratory

  • Perform sample sorting, racking and retrieving

  • Prepare record logs in a timely and efficient manner
