Job Description
Join our dynamic team as an Order Entry/Customer Service Pharmacy Technician, where you are at the front line of our pharmacy operations. Your primary responsibilities include order entry, triage, handling incoming calls, and directing them appropriately. You will communicate with long-term care facilities, pharmacists, nurses, and physicians, managing drug orders received via faxes and other forms. Additionally, you will engage in triaging documents by reviewing patient profiles to determine the appropriateness of placing orders, preparing documents by highlighting pertinent information, and ensuring accurate entry of medication orders. Expect to handle about 15-30 calls per day, make calls regarding new admissions to facilities, and troubleshoot any issues with orders by understanding the workings of the Automatic Dispensing Unit.
