Actalent Electrical Project Engineer in Fairfield, Ohio
Description:
We are currently looking for a Project Electrical Engineer to join their team. This position will assist in the design and development of programs for material handling equipment. This position understands equipment, business, and customer requirements that drive the design of the technical solutions and participates in all phases of product development lifecycle, including the analysis, design, electrical designs, electrical installation support, PLC/HMI program development, commissioning, debugging, onsite support and training, remote support. This position will be responsible for the design, detailing, and support of the controls for material handling systems with the support and guidance of the entire team. Working with Project Managers, this position will take their concepts from plan to reality by creating electrical/controls design schemes and panel layouts. This position will develop detailed manufacturing drawings/schematics, create bills of material, and customer data packages.
JOB DUTIES:
Design the control and electrical schemes for material handling systems, including panel layouts, power, control, communication distribution, and schematics
Create bills of material
Assist with installation at customer's facilities
Assist in FAT/Prototype assembly/builds/troubleshooting
Participate in and/or lead R&D projects
Participate in and/or lead continuous improvement projects
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
MUSTS:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or related work experience
Experience in electrical design engineering
Open to 25% travel (goes in waves)
Experience remoting into a system to troubleshoot or program virtually
Experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, or E-Plan
PLC experience
Nice to Have:
ERP knowledge
Material handling experience
Panel building experience
