Actalent Mechanical Engineer in Grand Rapids, Michigan
Description:
A contract manufacturer for medical device in West Michigan is looking for support on a project for a warming blanket. Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for soldering activities of circuit board to mat for heat distribution, development of QMS, work instructions and test method qualifications. Concept has already been created so responsible for getting product to launch phase and will support on sustaining activities once launch happens.
Implement work instructions and test method qualifications into quality systems. QMS they use is QT9.
Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing & Engineering teams to bring everything into QMS.
Set up, program and validate RF Welder
Responsible for all documentation of line.
Test warming blanket to ensure operates correctly
Circuit boards sourced and assembled already - have to solder circuit boards underneath display to distribute heat through mat
Onboarding - Train in QT9, meet team and get set up on details of project.
Once onboarded
order equipment for manufacturing line, set up equipment and complete IQ/OQ/PQ validation of all new equipment coming in.
Develop work instructions for line
Release component specifications to team.
Drive project to ensure product is operating as expected/heating properly
