Actalent Field Technician in Hanover, Maryland

Job Title: Field Technician

Job Description

As a Field Technician, you will primarily be responsible for installing flow meters and monitoring systems inside manholes, identifying water infrastructure, and conducting site inspections. You will also be in charge of flow monitor calibration, collection, and review of sewer flow and rainfall data for accuracy. Additionally, you will be expected to maintain accurate, legible, and organized records in accordance with our quality work instructions.

Hard Skills

  • Installation of flow meters

  • Identification of water infrastructure

  • Operation and maintenance of flow monitors and rainfall gauges

  • Inspection of manholes

  • Conducting flow isolations, smoke testing, dye water flooding and site inspections

  • Maintenance of accurate, legible and organized records

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Hanover, Maryland.

Work Environment

Our work environment is primarily field-based with a focus on manhole operations and installation of monitoring equipment. The work schedule is Monday to Thursday, starting between 7-8AM and offering a guaranteed 40 hours per week with the potential for overtime. You must be flexible and willing to travel minimally, as work is based out of the Baltimore Metropolitan area. Job sites are typically 1-1.5 hours away, and if they are 4 hours or greater, we cover lodging costs. Please note that candidates must be comfortable working outside and in a dirty environment.
