Job Title: Mechanical Designer
Job Description
We are on the lookout for a dynamic Mechanical Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in assisting with the creation of 2D and 3D drawings for a novel renewable energy battery management system. This innovative system is pivotal in harnessing energy from renewable resources such as wind, water, and solar. The role will require you to work closely with Engineering Leadership and our clients, performing custom, in-the-moment designs. Additionally, you will be involved in the Validation and Verification of metal enclosures, with a specific focus on welding quality.
Hard Skills
5+ years of experience with CREO
Must know how to perform Weld and Fabrication Callouts (Modelling of parts and assemblies, Sheet metal & fabrication, Build-to-print drawings, Weld call-outs including ISO 2553, ISO 13920-BF (tolerances), ISO 5817-C (weld class), Parts lists and Modelling multiple assembly configurations/variations)

This is a contract position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Environment
The position is 100% remote, with quarterly meetings in Herndon or at client sites, typically only once per quarter.
