Actalent Process Engineer in Indianapolis, Indiana

Description:

The Process Improvement Engineer will mentor and support in the diagnoses and resolution of software instrument and process problems to maintain system readiness of both manufacturing packaging equipment and data historian network. You will ensure site compliance and all vital activities are performed on time to keep equipment in working status.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute long-term continuous improvement projects by partnering with cross-functional teams, analyzing data, and implementing innovative solutions.

• Evaluate and implement process improvement methodologies to enhance worker efficiency, reduce costs, minimize waste of materials and utilities, and streamline workflows.

• Conduct comprehensive process analyses, including job duty restructuring, workflow reorganization, workstation and equipment relocation, and the introduction of new technologies and equipment.

• Spearhead multiple engineering-driven projects, managing project schedules from initiation to completion using sound project management practices.

• Collaborate with Production teams to identify and mitigate workflow barriers, optimizing equipment arrangements to increase throughput and productivity.

• Drive engineering initiatives aimed at reducing setup times, increasing machine speeds, minimizing labor hours, reducing reject rates, and improving overall quality.

• Develop technical specifications and supporting documentation for engineering project designs and machine upgrades.

• Conduct deviation investigations, change controls, and implement corrective and preventative actions to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

• Review and approve Engineering and Validation documents, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.

• Serve as the site system administrator for all automated equipment, overseeing routine maintenance and ensuring optimal performance.

  1. Experience with blister machines bottling carding labeling and syringe assembly preferred.

  2. Prior experience working within GAMP 5 and GMP environments strongly desired.
