Job Title: Water Resources Engineer / Hydrogeologist

Overview:

We are actively seeking talented Water Resources Engineers and Hydrogeologists to join our team. As a key contributor, you will work on water-related projects across California and Washington. These projects encompass a wide range of critical areas, including Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) compliance, groundwater basin characterization, water budgets, modeling, water transfer support, and more. Responsibilities:

Your role will involve collaborating with a team of engineers and scientists to:

  • Develop Hydrogeologic Models:

  • Create and implement hydrogeologic conceptual models.

  • Establish water balances and numerical models.

  • Prepare Reports and Studies:

  • Produce SGMA-compliant groundwater sustainability plans.

  • Conduct water supply assessments and urban water management plans.

  • Develop water supply strategies, integrated plans, and water conservation programs.

  • Effective Communication:

  • Craft well-written documents and deliver effective presentations.

  • Communicate complex technical problems to diverse audiences.

  • Project Support:

  • Assist project managers and senior staff in preparing project schedules.

  • Track budgets, deliverables, and progress reports.

  • Technical Knowledge:

  • Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience required, with 5 or more years desirable. Experience as an engineer, planner, or hydrogeologist working on water resources projects1 (https://www.velvetjobs.com/job-descriptions/water-resource-engineer) .

  • Regulatory Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with California groundwater regulations, including the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA), Urban Water Management Planning Act, and Senate Bill 610 requirements1 (https://www.velvetjobs.com/job-descriptions/water-resource-engineer) .

  • Communication Skills:

  • Educational Background :

  • Software Proficiency:
