Actalent Lean Manager in McMinnville, Oregon

Job Title: Lean Manager

Job Description

As the main support for the Plant’s Lean Transformation, this role involves implementing a new Lean system and providing hands-on training in Lean methodology and tools to associates. The specialist will help eliminate waste across administrative, manufacturing, and support functions. Key responsibilities include tracking progress with the site’s Win Scorecard, updating corporate partners on progress, and developing associates in lean methodology and waste reduction tools. Working closely with site leadership, the specialist will implement Lean practices using the primary Lean Systems tool, ensure the creation of a robust Lean Future State Strategy compliant with Lean System standards, and foster a PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) culture to advance the Lean Journey.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 7+ years of successful manufacturing experience, including at least two years in direct Lean leadership.

  • Bachelors degree is required.

  • Demonstrated understanding of Lean principles, including Value Stream Mapping, Just-In-Time, Demand Flow, Single Piece Flow, Five S’s, Visual Management, Total Productive Maintenance, Continuous Improvement Process, Kaizen, SPC, Six Sigma, and Communication Tools.

  • Good understanding of financial measurements and goals within the Lean/Flow throughput context.

  • Effective presentation skills to share Division success and ideas.
