Actalent Residential Project Manager/Estimator in Mundelein, Illinois
Job Title: Project Manager/EstimatorJob Description
As a Project Manager/Estimator, you will be responsible for working with drawings, specifications, supplier quotations, engineering standards, and other information to provide material take-offs and cost estimates. You will utilize Excel to create and compile detailed cost estimates. Your role involves obtaining, organizing, and analyzing multiple subcontractor quotes across various trades by specifying materials, identifying qualified subcontractors, and negotiating prices nationally. You will support the company's financial goals and objectives for profit and margin. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to conceptualize estimates of projects and explain the benefits of certain models to customers. You will consult with project managers, vendors, and other departmental personnel to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. Moreover, meeting with clients and communicating in a professional and knowledgeable manner is a key part of this role.
