Job Title: Transportation Engineer

Job Description

The Transportation Engineer will serve as a project lead and client point of contact, overseeing traffic, bridge, and highway projects. This role involves preparing state regulatory permit applications, including Traffic Signal Permitting and Highway Occupancy Permitting, preparing and reviewing bid plans and specifications, conducting quality control reviews for plans and reports, composing various documents such as letters, memoranda, reports, applications, and studies, and coordinating projects with transportation staff, clients, contractors, attorneys, PennDOT, and residents. The role demands prioritization and management of multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering college or university.

  • 0-10+ years of experience in Transportation, Highway and/or Traffic Engineering field.

  • Experience in highway design, traffic engineering, municipal traffic engineering reviews if experienced.

  • Previous experience in assisting on working with municipalities, public and/or private sector design projects if experienced.

  • PennDOT experience if experienced.

Work Site/ Environment

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in New Britain, Pennsylvania and some days remote.
