Actalent Mechanical Engineer in New York, New York
Hiring a Mechanical Engineer for a major engineer consulting firm in NYC to work on a variety of complex commercial and scientific projects including data centers, healthcare, municipal buildings, and central plants.
Description:
-Design of mechanical systems including: heating, cooling, heat rejection, air and hydronic distribution systems, ventilation, air conditioning, building automation and controls.
-Perform system design calculations and analyze mechanical system options with industry standard engineering and energy modeling software.
-Knowledgeable with all relative building codes and standards.
-Prepare design documents to detail the mechanical systems in basis of design report and specification formats.
-Review design deliverable assurance of technical accuracy and presentation quality.
-Coordinate work with architect and engineers of other disciplines.
- Manage projects for timely technical delivery and day to day liaison with design and client team.
Work schedule:
Hybrid; 3 days in office and 2 days remote

Qualifications:
-5+ Years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer (5-15 Year range)
-Experience with AutoCAD (Revit is a plus) 80% of their projects are within AutoCAD
-Project type experience including healthcare, institutional, or commercial
-Familiar with ASHRAE Standards
