A Day in the Role…
Design of plumbing and fire protection systems under the guidance of a professional engineer including: domestic hot & cold water, drainage, natural gas systems and various types of fire protection systems.
Perform system design calculations and analyze plumbing and fire protection system options with industry standard engineering and hydraulic calculation software.
Familiar with relative building codes and standards.
Work closely with Senior Plumbing / Fire Protection Engineer and project Principal to prepare design documents including plumbing and fire protection systems in basis of design report, drawing (Revit) and specification.
Coordinate work with architect and engineers of other disciplines.
Manage personal tasks for technical accuracy and timely delivery for day to day liaison with Senior Plumbing / Fire Protection Engineer and project team.
Skills and Strengths Necessary To Be Eligible:
AutoCAD | Fire Protection| MEP Engineering| Plumbing | Coordination | REVIT|
Required Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
3-7 Years as a Plumbing/Fire Protection design Engineer
Proficient in AutoCAD & Revit
Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam with intent to become a Professional Engineer.
LEED and/or Well accredited professional is preferred.
