Actalent Structural Engineer in New York, New York
Hiring a Structural Inspector for a major Engineering Consulting Firm based in NYC. This is a great opportunity to work within a very well-established engineering firm with major clients in the commercial sector. Job Description:
Will perform inspections for Façade, Parking Structures, Buildings, and Restoration projects throughout the five boroughs and occasional travel to Long Island.
Will be preforming Building Inspections, Façade Inspections, and Scaffolding duties.
Will train and develop under Professional Engineers learning the design and inspection of parking structures and garages.
Will train under Professional Engineers doing technical design, detailing, and specification of structural repairs and new structural design on restoration projects.
Will perform Structural Calculations.
Report Writing.
Will work with the Professional Engineer's on projecting a quantity of a building project, write the report, and then create a plan. Once plan is in place you will go to the job site and confirm the projected quantity with the Contractor and then do the scaffolding.
CAD Design and Drafting.
Parking Garage Inspections.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience preforming façade inspection, building inspections, and restoration inspections.
Scaffolding experience.
Experience with structural analysis and report writing.
Proficiency with structural repair detailing AutoCAD Microsoft Excel.
OSHA certification.
