Job Title: Food Technologist
We are seeking a talented Food Product and Seasoning Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for formulating new and existing seasonings and food products based on project specifications. This role involves solving technical problems essential to flavor development, food applications, or delivery systems.
Job Description
As a Food Technologist, you will formulate both new and existing seasonings and food products based on project specifications. You will develop a deep understanding of our seasonings and processes, evaluate them, and make recommendations to the sales team according to customer requirements. Your role will involve adapting to rapidly changing priorities, managing multiple tasks, and taking direction from product developers, scientists, and supervisors. Additionally, you will identify new and replacement raw materials, develop concepts and applications based on market trends, and maintain accurate and organized project records. You will also maintain ongoing communications with customers, salespeople, and coworkers on projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Formulate seasonings and food products based on customer project specifications.
Develop concepts and applications based on market trends for meat, savory, and seasoning products.
Perform accurate calculations related to seasoning formulas in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Maintain accurate and organized project records.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in compounding and weighing with proven accuracy and strong attention to detail.
Experience with lab scales, kitchen utensils, mixers, and ingredients.
Ability to work accurately with calculations such as ratios, decimals, and percentages.
Demonstrated data entry and basic PC skills, including proficiency in Excel and Word.
Bachelors degree in the sciences
