Actalent Electrical Engineer in Overland Park, Kansas
Job Description:
Seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the Power Delivery group.
Perform substation design, including physical design, protective relaying/control with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
Functions as a technical specialist in a substation design role encompassing distribution, subtransmission and transmission level voltage classes.
With minimal supervision, applies advanced engineering techniques and analyses for problems and methods.
May start to expand knowledge in other disciplines and/or functional areas.
The power delivery group works with utilities, transmission companies and other power delivery clients.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of electrical engineering experience either in an internship or full time position.
Qualified candidates need to have Substation Design experience and Power Delivery.
Physical design, protection & control, 34kv, 69kv, 124kv, 12kv, high voltage
Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is preferred
