Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description
The Medical Assistant will function as a crucial member of the patient care team. This role involves performing clinical tasks and procedures to support care delivery and promote efficient use of the physician's time. You will also be responsible for all clerical duties required to complete patient Check-in/Check-out and assist patients in obtaining services in a timely manner. This position also requires administering and coordinating referrals and service authorization processes, managing rooming duties, and performing other front desk activities in the clinic.
Hard Skills
Medical Assistant certification
Experience with EPIC
Ability to perform waived testing (urine dipstick, urine pregnancy test, blood glucose testing), perform EKGs, administer immunizations
Scheduling appointments and managing patient physician appointments
Processing requests for prescription refills
Maintaining clean and orderly exam rooms, hallways and work areas
Collecting and sending specimens to labs for testing

This is a contract position with a duration of 13 Week(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Palo Alto, California.
Work Environment
The work environment is a fast-paced stroke clinic, where you'll be working with approximately 25 patients per day. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
