Job Title: Prior Authorization Pharmacy TechnicianJob Description

As a Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in managing the pre-certification, insurance requirements, and coverage limitations for patients prior to discharge. You will maintain effective communication with clinical pharmacists, social workers, and program administrators to ensure accurate financial information for claim adjudication. Your responsibilities include faxing necessary information to insurance companies to secure authorization numbers, supporting concierge service-related activities from prescription intake to bedside delivery, collaborating with internal team members and external partners to coordinate drug coverage, and following up on pending authorizations and referrals. This role requires interaction with medical staff to obtain essential clinical and financial information for payer reimbursement.

Job Type

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Work Environment

The work shift is flexible, starting anytime from 7:30 am to 9:00 am, requiring an 8-hour shift. Initially, the role is on-site for the first 8-10 weeks before transitioning to a fully remote position.
