Job Title: Animal Care Technician
Job Description
As an Animal Care Technician, you will be responsible for performing assessments of animal health and well-being, and producing quality products by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Outlines of Production (OPs). This role requires maintaining strict biosecurity standards. Key duties include performing general animal husbandry, test bleeds, inoculations, harvests, and various cleaning and maintenance tasks within the facility. You will also handle routine paperwork, operate equipment such as CO2 tanks and power washers, and ensure compliance with all safety and operational guidelines.

The role occasionally exposes you to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, wet/humid conditions, toxic/caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. You will regularly wear protective clothing including scrubs, lab coats, safety glasses, and gloves. The position involves frequent physical activities such as picking up and holding birds, moving around the production facilities, and lifting up to 60 pounds. The noise level is generally moderate but can vary.
