Actalent Manufacturing Engineer in Redmond, Washington
Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob Description
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be directly responsible for building, testing, qualifying, and producing next-generation spacecraft. You will utilize innovative solutions and cutting-edge technology to solve difficult manufacturing and engineering problems daily, at both a systems and specialized level. You will be a critical lynchpin between the production, development, tooling, supply chain, and quality teams, and lead production on the assembly line as well as new production introduction. You will be the first line of support for all manner of technical challenges to the production team, using your expertise to rapidly respond to, triage, and solve product issues that slow down factory throughput. Finally, you will be responsible for standing up new processes, equipment, and assembly lines to support an aggressive build ramp, making data-driven decisions at each step in the process.
Basic Qualifications:
Familiarity with Low Rate Manufacturing Environments & New Product Introduction
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices & principles
Experience with Root Cause Analysis Techniques such as Fishbone, Fault Tree, DMAIC, etc.
Strong analytical skills
Strong communication and writing skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with SAP or similar ERP software
Experience with NX Unigraphics of similar CAD software
Experience with Aerospace &/or Optical Manufacturing
Experience with Python Programming Language
Experience with Optical System Design & Optical Metrology
Experience with Fiber Optic Systems
Experience with Statistical Analysis Software such as Minitab
Shift Options:
Off Shift - 2pm-10pm
Weekends if needed.
Compensation: $50-66/hr
