Actalent Quality Engineer in Rochester, Minnesota

Job Title: Quality EngineerJob Description

Seeking a meticulous and skilled Quality Engineer to design, install, and evaluate quality assurance systems, procedures, and statistical techniques. The ideal candidate will analyze production limitations and standards, monitor manufacturing processes, and recommend specification revisions. Responsibilities include validating SPC limits, auditing processes, creating control plans, and ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. The role involves interfacing with engineering teams and external parties on quality-related issues, participating in special test programs, and driving continuous quality improvement across the organization.

Hard Skills

  • BS degree in engineering

  • 5+ years experience as a quality engineer, preferably in heavy equipment/metals

  • 1+ years experience with AS9102

  • Proficiency in using metrics and continuous improvement tools (e.g., DPMO, FPY, DPM, Six Sigma, FMEA)

  • Knowledge of standards and regulations (FDA QSR Part 820, ISO, ITAR, IATF)
