Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Job Description
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for utilizing Solidworks and AutoCAD to create models, assembly drawings, detail drawings, and bills of materials. Your role will involve spending 75% of your time on design tasks and 25% supporting machine builds on the floor. After gaining familiarity with the product lines, you will also support customers and assist the sales department with quotations to determine the material and labor required for project tasks. Additionally, you will identify and resolve conflicts with customer requirements, ensure designs comply with mechanical standards, building codes, local regulations, and OSHA regulations, and conduct meetings with the manufacturing department to review drawings and materials before build commencement. Travel is minimal, involving 2-6 short trips per year.
