Job Description
This position will support the Maintenance and Tooling Department with technical design and modifications of plastic injection and rubber tooling. The role involves recommending improvements to existing tooling and assisting with design approvals for new tools. The engineer will participate in run-offs and trials to ensure the tooling produces acceptable parts and will maintain tool design records.

Support the Maintenance and Tooling Department with technical design and modifications of plastic injection and rubber tooling.
Recommend improvements to existing tooling.
Assist with design approvals for new tools.
Participate in run-offs and trials to ensure tooling produces acceptable parts.
Maintain tool design records.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent working experience.
5+ years of experience in tool design, preferably with plastic or rubber tooling or other high-pressure tooling such as casting.
1+ year of hands-on experience with tool making/machining.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of Core tools (i.e., Quality standards).
Experience with Nylon 66.
Knowledge of EDM machining.
Experience with Bobcat software.
Work Environment
The facility is clean and well-kept, with a well-lit environment. This position expects to be 65% on the floor versus 35% at the desk. Due to recent management changes, there may be some longer days initially to help get new systems in place and existing tools in better shape.
