Job Title: Calibration TechnicianJob Description
As a Calibration Technician, you will be primarily responsible for maintaining a robust calibration program. This includes scheduling calibrations monthly, performing traceable certifications on in-house standards, acquiring standards for new instruments, writing and revising SOPs, and securely storing historical records of calibrations. You will coordinate repairs and calibrations with external vendors, manage shipping and receiving of calibration standards for factory certifications, and provide technical support for all R&D/QC laboratory equipment. Additionally, you will assist in laboratory investigations, ensure timely completion of calibrations, coordinate activities of calibration specialists, perform calibrations and preventive maintenance on various instruments, make minor repairs to equipment, and review completed IQ/OQ/PQ performances as part of change control for services performed by outside vendors. Your role also involves generating change control documents, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of federal and international regulations regarding analytical chemistry and cGMPs, and championing validation initiatives to comply with these regulations. Adherence to site HSE policies is mandatory.
