Actalent Laboratory Technician in Saint Paul, Minnesota
Description:
Must be able to perform complex laboratory and applications tasks and procedures accurately and expeditiously.
Take ownership of assigned technical service requests.
Document work, provide status updates, communicate with requestor(s).
Coordinate construction and testing of insulating glass units (IGUs) for product testing and customer needs.
Execute application/laboratory test plans to support material characterization, process characterization, and root cause analysis.
Manage equipment, product & supplies in the CoE
Preventative maintenance on equipment
Shipment of IGUs, sample products, and supplies to and from the CoE
Support standardization/5S of equipment and processes
Prepare laboratory test specimens as needed
Support physical property testing of internal and external products
Support quality and cost savings initiatives
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or related field.
OR High School Diploma and at least 4 years of relevant work and or educational experience.
Nice to Have:
At least 1 year of training in adhesives/applications/machinery/substrates
