Actalent Process Engineer in San Antonio, Texas

Job Title: Process Engineer

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing data compilations and report generation for a petroleum pilot plant. The position involves compiling and building reports for petroleum pilot plant runs, and working with operators to generate product blends. The candidate will also be responsible for executing chemical and petroleum lab scale experiments, building up of the test equipment, and reporting test data. Mechanical Aptitude is a requirement. The role also involves operation of a chemical pilot plant, which includes troubleshooting, equipment installation, maintenance, assisting with safety procedures and operating instructions, sample preparation, and plant clean-up. The successful candidate will work with pumps, heat trace, high temperature oils, drum heaters, and chemicals, and will also lead operators on shifts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Chemical, Petroleum, or Mechanical

•Must be able to multi-tasking with ability to complete thermo calculations while also being mechanically inclined to build process systems.

•Experience with P&ID and BOM is preferred.

•Familiar with Autocad, Autoplant, Solidworks, Viso, and MS Office

•Shift work required- must be flexible

*Must be mechanically inclined and willing to do hands on work.
