Actalent Quality Engineer in Sparta, Illinois

Job Title: Quality EngineerJob Description

The Quality Engineer will lead and manage advanced quality control activities in coordination with the Launch Engineer. This role focuses on setting up processes for new launch parts transitioning into production. The successful candidate will act as a liaison, ensuring customer specifications and order requirements are effectively communicated to plant personnel, embodying the voice of the customer within the organization.

Hard Skills

  • Problem-solving skills (AD reports, six sigma, 5Y, data analysis)

  • Process improvement experience

  • Experience writing work instructions

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field

Soft Skills

  • Ability to switch between operational and administrative tasks

  • Strong communication skills

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Sparta, Illinois.

Work Environment

The company is a die cast part manufacturer for OEMs in the automotive industry, with corporate offices in St. Louis and manufacturing facilities in Sparta IL, Columbia, and Hannibal, MO. Clients include major automotive companies such as Toyota, Honda, Volkswagen, and General Motors.
