Actalent BIM Manager in Suffern, New York
As a BIM Manager, you will lead our BIM implementation, ensuring seamless collaboration, data accuracy, and efficient project delivery. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our digital workflows and driving innovation within the architectural and engineering teams!

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
SOFTWARE:
Manage software products including but not limited to:
Incorporating new versions releases and customization of the product
Manage the implementation of supporting software for BIM
Evaluation new BIM related software and technologies
Stay informed on other BIM related software and how they work with Revit
Installation and support of related BIM software
BIM 360 management
R&D:
Working knowledge of Rhino, grasshopper, and other Rhino plugins
Experience creating Revit plugins
Experience modeling custom Revit families
Experience integrating different software to find optimal output of specific tasks
STANDARDS:
Responsible for BIM Standards development, implementation, and enforcement
Creation and maintenance of the software template files to ensure standards
Automate routines in BIM to support standards and productivity
Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards
Assist in developing and enforcing BIM documentation and workflow process standards
Train and Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Revit specialist to ensure BIM standards are maintained in the creation of the Architectural Revit Model
MANAGEMENT:
Chair the company’s BIM committee.
Create upgrade and deployment strategies for the BIM implementation effort.
Assess: Evaluate the firms strategies, project modeling
Plan: create a plan for implementation of new applications
Solve: get template created , do pilot projects , and staff training
Be able to demonstrate the companies’ BIM success by evaluation of goals that we established
TRAINING:
Internal training : provide Revit Architecture fundamental and intermediate training to staff
Conduct internal continuing education Revit Architecture training sessions
Provide technical orientation to new hires regarding BIM tools
Test new hires skills in BIM
Maintain high level of competency of software through continued use and training
Attend conferences, seminars, and workshop for BIM; bring back learning and giving out the information to all teams.
PROJECT INTERFACE:
Support project standards coordination
Assist on project work – Modeling and detailing
Assist project teams in BIM project set up
Create Revit Families in response to project needs
Help resolve BIM design issues.
SUPPORT:
Support the BIM technology needs of the office
Trouble shoot problems
Liaison with national vendors
Liaison with corporate IT staff
liaison with software developer support and other support channels
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
5+ years production experience in design, drafting or engineering.
Must have an in-depth working knowledge of current BIM versions with emphasis on project sheet set up
Strong written and verbal communication skills
2 or 4 year degree, certification, or other from a college or trade school in Architecture
5+ years of BIM experience
Advanced proven knowledge of Autodesk products
