Actalent Lab Analyst in Temecula, California

Job summary: The laboratory analyst is part of the laboratory team, where the analyst is responsible for analyzing environmental samples, reviewing analytical data and creating final laboratory reports for the client. The analyst must follow all laboratory SOPs, understand the information in the company handbook and maintain safety protocol at all times.

Responsibilities/daily tasks:

• Reports directly to the laboratory supervisor

• Assists and follows direction from the laboratory supervisor

• Complete training as needed for each methodology used in the laboratory

• Analyze laboratory samples as indicated in the laboratory SOPs • Ability to interpret and communicate the laboratory data • Work collaboratively with other laboratory staff

• Complete all required QAQC

• Maintain laboratory and workspace cleanliness

• Follow all laboratory Health and Safety protocol

• May require exerting up to 50 pounds to lift, carry, pull or move objects

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in a science based field. (Biological, Chemistry, Ecology, Environmental, geology)

• Microbiology Laboratory: Minimum 9 months experience analyzing non-viable air and bulk samples for fungi spore identification

• PLM laboratory: preferred experience analyzing building materials for asbestos

• Basic understanding of GLP

• Analytical and organizational skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

• Good communication skills
