Actalent Surveyor in Tempe, Arizona
Description:
Our client is currently hiring 2 surveyors to add to their Phoenix Team. They are looking for someone that will fit into their work culture. They need someone that can hit the ground running as they are trying to build this team out.
They will be running their own team, so they need to be able to self-perform on the various jobsites they will be working at. They have a long-run way when they start, so we need someone that has a owner mentality.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Responsible for performing survey and mapping of construction measurements and advise team members during all stages of the construction project through direct surveys and layout support.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Set up and Operate Trimble GPS equipment
Base station
SCS 900 software
GCS 900
Laser level
Care, cleaning and use surveying tools and equipment
Perform basic surveying computation and plan reading
Perform survey note taking
Survey existing conditions of proposed work sites
Guide new construction work through layout
Verify location of structures
Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
All other duties as assigned
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to operate equipment including but not limited to Base Station, SCS 900, GCS 900 and laser level
Detail oriented
Ability to work independently
Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
Nice to have someone Bilingual in Spanish
