Actalent Tissue Processing Technician in Vandalia, Ohio
Job Description
As a Tissue Processing Technician, you will be tasked with debridement, processing, packaging, labeling, and shipping of human tissue products intended for surgical transplantation. You will ensure all activities comply with federal, state, and AATB regulations. Responsibilities include maintaining inventory levels, assisting in lab cleaning, collaborating with Quality and Regulatory staff, and completing production documentation accurately. You will also support the production records management and perform additional duties as directed by your Supervisor.
Job Duties:
The Nerve Processing Technician will perform debridement and processing, packaging and labeling of human tissue products for surgical transplantation while ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and AATB regulations.
Perform processing, debridement, packaging, labeling, and shipment of finished product.
Utilize special techniques, instrumentation and equipment to clean and size tissue to specifications and protocols.
Assist Team Lead with efforts in maintaining inventory levels on the core and dock for receiving supplies.
Perform lab cleaning activities as required by policies, protocols, procedures and SOPs.
Work with Quality and Regulatory staff to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and AATB regulations and requirements, particularly those pertaining to manufacturing.
Correctly complete production documentation as required in Nerve processing in accordance with standard operating procedures, and quality standards.
Assist with production records as needed.
Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor.
Comply with all company policies, procedures, and SOPs.
Additional Skills and Must Haves:
Must have HS Diploma, prefer Associates Degree in science but not required
Prior Medical/Healthcare experience is a plus
Prior Quality Assurance or Quality Control Experience is a plus
Candidates that have worked in a previous regulated environment is a big plus
Desire to be in the position long term
Must be comfortable sitting and standing for long periods of time

The role is based in a clean room environment requiring PPE such as lab coats, safety glasses, hairnets, and medical gloves, which are provided. You will be part of a team ranging from 8-12 members per shift. You will work overtime and rotating holidays.
