Actalent Manufacturing Engineer in Wayne, New Jersey

Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Description:

  • Work closely with rotating machinery that switches between different shapes and sizes.

  • Utilize existing technical manuals (including a superior German manual) and learn from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

  • Gain a deep technical understanding of our 31 wire-forming machines across three basic categories (manufacturers: Bielomatik, Womacko, James Burn).

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering or related field / comparable experience

  • 2-5 years experience within Manufacturing

  • Solid understanding of machinery components: gears, belts, drives, wire forming, etc.

  • Methodical process analysis, i.e. the ability to understand process thinking and can assess machines and break it down into steps

  • Experience updating technical manuals or documentation

  • Ability to train and develop a team, leading a charge of change

  • Strong written and verbal communication
