Job Title: Controls Engineer
Job Description
As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for creating, documenting, developing, supporting and improving upon the control systems that are integral to the production processes. Your involvement will span from initial project sourcing to SOP +90 days, or as required. You may also be asked to support the implementation of engineering changes for current production products. Your role will include providing your controls expertise in tooling design and automation for new projects and process changes driven by product engineering changes. You will also handle the transfer of all equipment and process documentation to the Production Plant prior to SOP. This role also includes participation in the development of RFQ's and Equipment Specifications for Capital and Tooling Requirements. You will be responsible for programming torque control systems and joint development, selection of error and mistake proofing devices, and supporting the Engineering Cost Estimator.
Hard Skills
Experience with Troubleshooting PLCs
Root Cause Analysis in manufacturing
Just in Time manufacturing experience (JIT)
Motion and Vision System experience
This is a permanent position.
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Wentzville, Missouri.
Work Environment
You will be working in a brand new facility where safety vests are a must. The available shifts are second shift from 2:30PM-10:30PM (currently 6 days a week M-S) and third shift from 10:30 pm to 6:30 am. We have one opening on each shift. Each shift is managed by one engineer and two maintenance team members.
